Consent States and Permission Signatures
Download PDFConsent is not a single checkbox but a stateful permission object. It includes the purpose, data scope, accessing party, validity period, reward terms, revocation method and policy version. The main states are Pending, Active, Paused, Revoked and Expired.
Every access checks the current consent state, and revoked permissions cannot be used for new data queries or to run new campaigns.
- Consent for service use is separated from consent for advertising use.
- Read, recommend, prepare and execute permissions for AI agents are distinguished from one another.
- One-time, time-limited, count-limited and purpose-limited permissions are supported.
- Critical permissions are recorded using structured signatures such as EIP-712, or equivalent policy signatures.
